I know this has been asked a million times...help with Felicity please

Hi....you all are so helpful here, can I bother you with another "help me idenitify my Felicity" question?

I just bought a pre-loved Felicity and Penny from the classifieds. We LOVE Penny! I was pleasantly suprised by the size and weight. Anyway, back to Felicity. She has red hair, but not the flaming red. She does have a "chunky" body, no body tag, she has the makers mark by her ear. Clothing is tagged 1993 made in China. Paler complection. Could she be pre-mattel? The seller cannot remember what year she bought her.

LOL...forgot...she does had reddish brown very soft silky eylashes.

Was there really a time when Lissie had "flaming red" hair? I got my Felicity in 1993(I think) and while her hair is red, it's definitely not flaming red. Your doll might be from around the same period. Everything you described matches mine, except that I can't remember the year on the clothing tag. My guess would be '93/'94.

Thank you. Not that it really mattered if she was pre-mattel or not (but we're happy about the redder hair rather than the brownish), but it's interestesing to see the differences in an older doll compared to the newer ones.
